Got a question - doing some various brainstorming.
Who are the middle size (income wise) business men (implies women as well) in the Entertainment Industry? So not the tycoon you can't get to but the mid level guy you can get to who also happens to be very wealthy.

I'd throw out there... maybe Jason Calacanis... Robert Scoble... Jay Anderson... Kevin Rose...

Chad...I mean more traditional entertainment - venues, restaurants, theaters, and I guess you'd count actors, athletes and musicians who have made it in the lot.

Oh, I was thinking entertainment...

umm, the owners of those establishments? or are you looking for specific names? a friend of mine owns a bar here in Greensboro, NC and he and his partners just bought a crap load of land by the D.C. airport to build a bar/night club/hotel. does that count as someone that is wealthy?
then again, i would say i am very wealthy - with charm.

You need to better define "wealthy". If you compare salaries from state to state you'll see that cost of living is different, so 120k in one state is like 250k in another.

Well, Ann if you were a dude and you lived out near LA, I'd tell you to go hit the links and get some golf buddies. Your best bet are probably lawyers and agents attached to the industry.
Most of the people you've heard of before are probably not going to be approachable. You should look at the behind-the-scenes folks. My guess is they already have some sort of networking groups for start-up funding based on that idea in Cali.
Big advice though would be not to believe a word coming out of anyone's mouth involved in the entertainment field until papers are signed and your money is in your account.

I'd say start reading the credits of movies and tv show's I'm sure names you've never heard of will start poping out

Very Wealthy, well I have a few friends that own their own business and the lowest one is netting about 350K and the highest one id 750K. All unmarried, they all have prenups which from a business stand point is wise. But Ann we have a problem.
The problem is you are a thinker, you make things. Only musicians make things athletes are always trying to one up themselves. And very type "A" personalities too. Both are low in percentage in success. Perhaps building developer? Or community developer as in houses schools.
Or if you want to go after the big fish talk to the gates foundation. You your local S.C.O.R.E of retired business people.Wisdom for free that is excellent value my book.
