First impressions of LiveMesh - not so impressed.

You only get 5GB of space to "share" with all your devices. It only lets you upload one file at a time. Trying to upload a 3MB file timed out after 10 minutes.

Beta is definitely the word here. I can't see myself using it in it's current state. But, as with most things Microsoft, I'm sure it will eventually improve, just not as quickly as just about any other "web vendor"'s product.

    I agree, Lindsay. It is actually interesting that they have even opened up the beta for it as it seems to be little more than SkyDrive meets Remote Desktop right now. However, this does have potential to be so much more and that is why I am glad I have joined the beta. I see this eventually giving GoToMyPC a battle, especially if they aim at a lower price.

    The developers API is what will make this something really special -- and I am still waiting for that invite patiently. This could be good mashup fodder.
