With no room to spare and plenty of expletives I t ook the old alternator off, put the new one on to find the squealing was really coming from the air conditioning condenser clutch... DOH!! Once more with feeling.... took the new atl off, put the old alt back on. I have no clue yet if I can just replace the clutch or need an entire compressor so I've some research to do. Yet again I say that the compact in sport compact comes from the amount of room under the hood... there is none lol.
