  • Public Windows XP is reporting that the time is one hour off even though all Microsoft DST patches have been correctly installed. The network here keeps resetting the time everytime I put it right. :-(

  • Public Finally played Carcassonne with the wife. Great game. We both had lots of fun and while it looked like the Mrs. was going to win my farms ended up giving me victory by a very slim margin.

  • Public Netflix used to make it easy to search for movies made in Taiwan. Their new categories don't include Taiwan as separate sub-category of foreign. Sucks. With a Taiwanese wife I want to watch good films from that island. Oh well..back to searching the GOOG.

  • Public In the local AMC waiting to see Gone, Baby, Gone. For some reason they killed the picture on the preshow ads and had text in the lower right corner of the screen reading "No signal" with a timer counting down from 5 minutes. It recycled at least twice. Have they installed mobile phone blockers?

Lewis Hamilton had an incredible rookie season and a fin race that consisted of him being blocked repeatedly in questionable circumstances, a gearbox mysteriously die and then restart, and a Formula One commissioner who made it clear that he didn"t want him to win the championship.
