This is such an interesting article, especially coming from a print prepress background. Even with a decent amount of color calib and using the proper color settings, this "Save For Web" color shift is still a problem I experience on occasion.
Because of the obvious issues with completely disregarding Adobe's Color Management entirely, I have relegated to using it for my print projects and turning it off (via the steps in the linked article) for my web projects. Once I do a bit more IE and browser testing, that may change, but for now ... properly rendered color from Photoshop to Web is bliss!
