Public So... YEAH!!! I got GTA4 on the PS3, and yes I was a victim of the dreaded freezing issue.
The trick to get GTA4 to work is to set your PS3's display resolution to 720 p, then start the game, goto the game options turn off auto saving and controller vibration.
Then you have to run over 25 people in your car effectively killing them.... then no more freezing ...
