So... YEAH!!! I got GTA4 on the PS3, and yes I was a victim of the dreaded freezing issue.

The trick to get GTA4 to work is to set your PS3's display resolution to 720 p, then start the game, goto the game options turn off auto saving and controller vibration.

Then you have to run over 25 people in your car effectively killing them.... then no more freezing! w00t!

Oh wait! scratch that last part... it's optional!! I just do that so my PS3 knows I mean business!!!

There should be a patch issued soon to fix all the issues.

    I pre ordered the limited edition months ago on Xbox360 and love it. However, I rented the PS3 version on launch day just to compare the two. And for the three days I had it I was getting crazy online errors with the game disconnecting all the time. Are these errors now fixed? On my 360 version I haven't had a single issue... And I must say, it's a AWESOME game!
