Getting my college essay done and starting to stuff envelopes...
Today's North Haven's big Columbus Day parade...I didn't go.
Got into Yale Saturday Seminar for Film and Screen writing. I've done it's Creative Writing class since sophomore year with the same teacher...should be fun.

Goodbye, beautiful weekend. Hopefully getting outside to take some pictures of the breathtaking fall trees. Hmm.

    Hehe, I was helping my sister with her essays today. She has this easy-peasy 250-word thing she needs to knock out, and it's giving us both a hard time!

    (Meanwhile, I need to be working on my professional statement... not going so well...)

    It's so hard to write about yourself. It's turning out completely cheesy and verbose. I just need to breathe and go at it.

    Yep. I've found if you write a nice meaty outline, everything else writes itself. Then you break past that self-consciousness barrier and start talking like you really mean it: "I'm the best person ever because x, and y has served as an enormous influence on my life thanks to impact z. Okay now, let me in please."

    (By the way, Yale... fancy fancy!)

    haha. thanks for the tips.

    and, yeah, it's not actually YALE per say, just based in New Haven...probably off of a loan from Yale. It's a good program, I've done a lot through it.
