So I get the big boat out of prison (winter storage) and park it in front of the house for the weekend. The plan was to get the spars off and work on some repairs and a couple of upgrades. All to get ready for boating season which we hope to start in late April.

Saturday the temperature reaches 74F and I get a bit of a tan on my morning ride. Sunday morning comes around and we have near whiteout conditions and lots of blowing snow. Enough to fill the cockpit with snow and block my access to the starboard locker and the companionway into the cabin. Can't get at the halyards nor the booms.

So much for starting the boat prep early so that everything is ready for the season.
