Friends don't let friends go see Speed Racer. First movie I've walked out of in 15+ years (and I sat threw some stinkers). Thank the gods it was a free preview pass.

    Honestly, I am a big fan of the original cartoon. I was excited to see a movie being made, but when I saw the whole "world" was cgi, I knew it was going to stink.

    My wife wants to see it. Not because it looks like it will be a good movie - because we expect it to suck - but because it looks pretty.

    As soon as I saw the commercial I knew it was a sfx IP wank-off. The effects may be well done... but it means nothing without good story and style.
