    this is always a hard thing to recommend, especially because my interests are practically multiple personality disorder worthy.

    tv on the radio (okay, i'll try harder)
    ratatat (more of a tone setter, great to work or workout to)
    mos def (go back and re-listen... damn good)
    kings of convenience (odd lounge-y duo, gold in the air of summer)
    Arcade Fire (current- indie, little raw)
    Explosions in the Sky (atmosperic jam band, narrative w/o lyrics)
    Tom Waits (always could use more tom waits)
