Whoa... Japan is being hit by major earthquakes today!
There was one just now but waaaay to the north of where I live.
There was another one this morning too with deaths...
I really hope there won't be one here or else the dormant volcanoes nearby might erupt again. >.<

Stay safe! Mind you I'll take earthquakes and volcanoes over tornadoes and hurricanes any day. Being from the west coast US helps!

Whoa, hope it's not too bad! Being in the Pacific riff sucks but if I had to choose one place to be in that tectonic fall it would be Japan, your country is the best prepared by far!

Gosh! I hope it's over now..... My parents are due to transit Narita tomorrow! I heard the nuclear plant has a minor leak.. do they have it under control yet? Keep us posted...

@Justin: No worries, the nuclear plant has been shut down and it's safe. There are still aftershocks and tremors continuing but they're not as big but it's best to take precautions because it's close to Tokyo and Narita.

Thank you all, the typhoon fizzled right before it hit us which was a blessing. If it had continued at the same strength it went through Okinawa, there would have been greater devastation on the mainland.

There are over 10,000 people in shelters, that's a lot of people. Hopefully it will be over soon but I put out my earthquake precaution set next to my bed just in case.
