Drink Gatorade (flavour of choice ... I like the lemonade) it will kep you hydrated and the extra peeing will help flush kidneys. B group multi vitamins - Airborne is still a good option. F the refuted FDA claims. Listerine pocket mister. Keep the bugs out of the throat.
Avoid caffeine, drink tea, have "comfort food" for lunch/dinner (the whole chicken noodle soup thing - does little for you except make you "feel good" .. and that can't be bad) ... and above all, get some sleep.
It's this really gross gel that you have to put up your nose, but... it works. I took it at the beguinning of my last cold, it kept the symptoms mild and the cold was gone in three days.
