Why is my Mac Mini slow even though I just formatted it?

It's a Mac Mini. You have to remember that. What are you running on it? OS, Apps, etc?

Aperture or Lightroom is a big one for me right now.

It wasn't this slow when I first got it. It's a PPC, running 10.4.11, and the apps I typically have open at once are Adium, Safari, and Mail.

my mac mini g4 is slow as dog shit as well.

It's the fastest PPC one, though, that counts for something, doesn't it?
