On Ragnar Tormquist's blog he has posted a FunCom job listing for an ARG Manager for the upcomming MMO "The Secret World".

For those of you who haven't heard of "The Secret World" it is a MMO that is being made by the same people as "Age of Conan" and "Dreamfall".

Originally just called "The World" it was described as being the same world we live in everyday, but, to paraphrase the movie vampire hunter Blade, "the world you know is just a candy coated shell" and the real truth is buried beneath.

FunCom launched a very succesful viral ARG to the european gaming community and it exploded. A not trivial puzzle and search lead to a website called http://DarkDaysAreComi..., which lead to a forum and community and more puzzles. Then in very quick order... it was over. There were guilds and fansites and even secret sects for an MMO that hadent even launched yet. That was it. The ARG was ended.

Then the second blow came to fans as word that to ramp up developement and the release of Age of Conan, The Secret World, a game now shown to have ominous lovecraftian and end of the world overtones that blended with not only the present but real history as well, would have to go on the back burner.

This job listing and the upcomming release of Age of Conan bodes very well for us fans.
