That’s it, enough mucking about. I need to buy a camera tomorrow. Something small, can fit in my pocket. I just want a take-anywhere toy that can do reasonable video as well as snapshots to be a back up to my dSLR. Anyone have a suggestion?

    Canon PowerShot G9. Awesome dSLR substitute, takes sweet pictures, and you can attach lenses to it if you feel the need.

    I am going to be getting it sooner or later. In fact, if you want, you can have it shipped to my house and I will test drive it for you :)

    The G9 is really great, but I don't know that it's a 'pocket' camera. I have a Canon Elph (SD1100) in my back pocket EVERYWHERE I go, and it does right by me.
