How many of you have tried out Mint.com? I just started using it over the weekend and really love it so far. Nice interface and easy to manage budgets and trending without needing to log in much at all. I recommend giving it a try!

I've been using it for a while, and while it is a nice site, I don't find that I have a lot of use for it.

If I was able to pay bills, make banking transactions, etc... from their interface I would find it to be much more useful.

I tried it out but I've been using Quicken so long, it's hard for me to break free.

It's a very elegant and easy to use service though.

I used to use it a while back when it was still in beta. I need to give it a try again. I'm sure it's improved and changed quite a bit since then.

i use it and i like it...however I agree that if I was able to pay bills....etc, I would use it more

I am going to second (third) this comment: it looks good and is very useful but if only I could pay bills directly, then that would be a killer service!
The scariest part for me was to find out that the shop I visit the most is Fry's.... I'm such a geek :)

I've heard of it but never actually checked it out. If it gets your seal of approval then I'll take a look for sure.

i used it a while back but gave up after it started to show duplicate charges/not update my balances properly. It's one of those apps with a lot of potential but it still needs some fine tuning, especially when it comes to working with non-major banks. once that got sorted out i'd probably go back.

I too used it back when it was in beta I believed. I recently signed up again just to check it out and see what had changed but haven't actually gotten around to that.

My main concern was the fact I put the username and password in for my accounts online. If they ever have any sort of security breach, that trust that their business is built on will be gone forever.

Though on a much less negative note, I'm one of those people who buys everything on their credit card and pays it off every month. That way I have all my purchases (besides bills) in one place and also not directly connected to a bank account should the card info be stolen.

That being said I might look around again, only because I'll be putting just my CC info in and not actual bank accounts. That does make me feel a little better, but of course, still uneasy in a sense.

I have been using it for a while, but one thing it doesn't do is keep track of how much money I have left in my account, so I STILL have to manage my checkbook along with using Mint. Looking for less work, not more. I'll stick with it for a bit longer.

tried it, didn't find much use for it. sure some ways may save me money in the short term, but I'll pay in the long term.

As far as security goes, http://Mint.com uses Yodlee as the backend. Same company that handles BofA and other banks. In fact, you can get a management tool like http://Mint.com from Yodlee directly or one of the clients, like BofA. Yes, for free.

I love the Mint interface, but I like using the Intuit equivalent (which cost $5 per month) because: 1) You cant complain about you dont pay for; and 2) Intuit has more to lose getting sued than http://Mint.com for any potential damages/hacks/issues.

No diss on the Mint team on 2), but it's just the way it is.

!electromute they have email/sms alerts for when your bank balance drops below a certain amount - are you referring to needing a more granular way of knowing your exact balance?

I just started using it about a month ago and love it. Great interface and I love the reports it gives you without me having to do any work. Works for me.

I like mint, I just only have one chk acct so its one dimensional.

Looks nfity, but the thought of having all of my financial transaction information floating around on someone else's server just scares the hell out of me...

I used it when it was in beta and had a clusterf#ck of a time. They couldn't sort it out, so I simply had them delete my account.

It's probably much more stable now, and I've seen a lot of people talking about it recently. Curious if it's worth another try...but I sort of agree with !devilinthedetails -- needs more functionality to be really useful.

I've seen a few services like this, and they've often looked nice. The sad thing so far is that I've never found one that I can use in the UK. Huge gap in the market here for whoever wants to fill it. :)

I used to use it when it was in beta but I found out from an online article that there were lots of security concerns with the ability of people being able to access your account if something bad happens. And last thing I need is waking up one morning to see all my accounts drained or their funds from some hacker.

I've tried http://mint.com, it's not bad. I am using both http://Yodlee.com and http://mint.com until they get some of the kinks out of http://mint.com.
