Neal just put on The Family Stone, which means he's wanting to have a kid. I'm saying we'll have a kid IF we sell all our pixels.

If you want one and can afford it. Why not then. Maybe after the Big Trip?

kindof a funny joke, but as a new dad it's also a little shallow.

Cali, having a kid is a whole new Pixel board (; I can see one for diapers, one for baby tech, one for college....

If you wait for the right time to have a child then it will never happen. There is no "good" time. If the desire is there, then that is all that matters. At the risk of sounding corny, "Love will find a way". Take it from a father of 3 (one of which is medically disabled requiring 24x7 care) they are worth every cent and every minute spent.

I waited till I was 36 to have my first and I sort of regret not have one sooner. I will almost be ready to retire when my youngest gets out of high school. But I love them both very much and don't even think twice that I made the wrong choice.

Cali, I will say that Steve is right there is never a "good" time. I will say as a pretty new dad it is so awesome. I never thought lack of sleep would be so rewarding. In anycase both of you will know when it's the right time.

I would think that when starting a year long trip in an RV is a pretty inconvenient time to get pregnant. Hard to see you making regular OB/GYN prenatal appointments when you're driving all over the country. Might be funny to tell the kid that he/she was born in three states, though (contractions started in Arizona, labor all through New Mexico, you were born in Texas!)
