Wondering if any corporations are actively and effectively using Jaiku or Pownce? Any good examples?

I've been looking for an opportunity to recommend Pownce to a client, but I've been waiting to see how it plays out in terms of usage stats. Also, trying to get a good feel of the typical Powncer.

I think Pownce could be useful for file sharing and private discussions, if you form a corporate private group. I'm also trying to get a feel for the Pownce audience niches to see if there's a match with any of my clients' targeted audiences. It could be a similar situation as Twitter, as many of my Twitter and Jaiku friends are also my Pownce friends. There seem to be fewer traditional media people on Pownce. I like the new feature where you can import your friends from Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. I wish you could "add all" at once, though. (I have to check again to verify whether or not you can.) That's a really useful feature.

We have a few different companies using our service. A few are using it as a private social network between employees, while others are using it as a broadcast service in lieu of outdated email lists. We also have a few conferences and music artists using it to share exclusive content.

@Ariel - Can you point me to a couple of public examples? I'm looking to take a screen shot for a presentation

There's (off the top of my head):

http://pownce.com/reap... - Indie record label that releases weekly tracks.
http://pownce.com/toda... - which used to just post links to interesting things
http://pownce.com/sxsw/ - being used to provide all kinds of content from SXSW
http://pownce.com/fata... - pro-gamer with his own brand/company, using it as a way to have conversations

Thank you very much Ariel, this is exactly what I needed. You rock, but then again you know that already :)

In other words, no. No *corporation* is using Pownce. Not that they couldn't. Just not happening. Why? Too many other sites like it or better.
