i'm analyzing data. i should have jumped in front of a bus this mornng.

    I feel your pain on this one! I spend about 1/3 of my week alayzing data and then trying to explain to the engineer involved that there is nothing wrong with the data...the fault is in the theory not the data.

    Then I spend time "adjusting" the data to meet the theory so that the engineer can marvel at the sheer size of their own brain pan.....

    Then the data cops pull us over for having unlawfully altered data for which the FDA would shut us down and fine us for....

    I then produce the original data which I was smart enough to save and the engineer adjusts their theory based on the finding of the data.....then they marvel at the sheer size of their own brain pan....

    ****Note: this was not a rip on all Engineers only the one(s) I currently work with****

    There are still many more hours in the day. You can always find the perfect bus.
