MKV converted to HD H.264 for the AppleTV looks great. For all those worried about the AppleTV not supporting those x.vid, div.x and mkv formats you shouldn't.
Even when I had this thing hacked for any format I found myself converting it regardless.

the 360 will play those formats without converting. You should move yours to the living room.

Jason: only of I had a sound proof case. I can't stand the aircraft jet engine noise coming from the thing.
Jared: Agreed but since apple loves its h264 and mp4 is so widely adopted its easier to convert to mp4 for all devices present and future that I own (i.e. 360, iPod, appletv, iPhone for portable media players).
