Question:

I suffer of panic attacks that sometimes can be so severe that simulate heart attack. I know it is not dangerous but I was wondering if panic attacks could endanger heart muscle on the long run and thus increase risk of cardiac diseases and possible cardiac arrest at later age?

You not discussed this with your doctor?

Yes, I have discussed it with my doctor but he told me he is not sure and there is no any research contacted about that as far as he knows. I was wondering that maybe some psychiatrists on here might have more information.

I hate to say it but I found those straight away. If your doctor could not find that then:

    A) He never tried looking and was talking from his ass
    B) He is a schmuck and you should seek another doctor
