PTotD: Collision of my online and offline worlds.

Yesterday I went to a blogger dinner and met some of my Twitter friends in person. People who were there know my online persona(s) as well as now knowing the real me. They are connected to me now on Facebook under my real name.

And I'm glad. I really enjoyed meeting them. It was totally worth it.

But now it leaves me with a few questions. Will I feel as ready to be open now online as I was before? Have I lost the freedom of expression I felt before when I was totally anonymous? Only time will tell.

No, not really. The name doesn't make the person. I have had friends who were named after Michael Jackson. People knew your personality.

You are still you. No matter what. :)

I know what you mean - I am making the anonymous to personable transition as well. And I think it's for the better - be proud of the work you do, right?
