finished up the last two openings of the beyond in western new york series today. as an out-of-towner it was a wonderful way to get to know the galleries, as well as the artists working in the area.

the work that is still sticking in my mind was a time lapse video of a view out a window taken at regular intervals throughout the day for an entire year. i watched it for about and hour and only saw winter in to spring. the work gives a unique viewpoint into the intervals of day and night, action and stillness, light and shadow and the weather. it is one of those works that continues outside the realm of the gallery walls and into your daily observations... needless to say ill be back to the gallery to visit again.
