    This is more friendly to read than Simon Tatham's <http://www.chiark.gree...>, but there's some good stuff in his article - he goes into more depth on some stuff, although in a somewhat didactic way.

    Exactly, and Simon Tatham's article is a classic. Just not necessarily all that digestible to end clients.
