  • Public http://tinyurl.com/ywbnt6. Ha! Just because you're in NYT doesn't mean you're cool, specially when basic 2.0 functionality, i.e. RSS, is missing. That is just so 90s!

  • Public Interesting... Pownce has finally decided to listen to their end-users and provide that open API everyone has been craving for... But in September ... I wonder how many months to go before full RSS / Atom feeds get introduced, now that e-mail notifications don't seem to work, either.

Reminds me of the Web in the early 90s. Sigh.

  • Public Ok. A while ago I mentioned I'd give Pownce 2 weeks to put together some decent feeds. That hasn't happened obviously, so before moving on I went through the "official" approach and submitted a bug request. Will give it a week to get a reply back and if not, that would be it.

I really want to make use of Pownce, I see the potential and the usability ...

  • Public Oh, and here is a new one. I've got notifications turned on for everything and last 6 pages of Pownce msgs. didn't get through to my inbox. So on top of not having the feeds, it looks like e-mail notifications don't work either! A bit arrogant asking *your* users to check the Web site every time for new updates, don't you think?

  • Public Well, finally, caught up with 7 pages of Pownce. Not much activity, I guess, compared to others. However, my main issue with it is still the universal RSS / Atom feed not being there and also the apparent lack of support for some of the folks I follow when encountering problems. Not looking good.

  • Public Sensing that my final days making use of Pownce are just around the corner. Coming closer to the two weeks I gave it to put together RSS / Atom feeds for all sorts of notifications and still don't see it. I think it would be time for me to pack and leave soon. At least, till they add them. Four days left...

  • Public Trying out for a week or so the next version of Flock 0.9.0 and see how well behaved it is. So far so good. Like the interface and hasn't crashed just yet. W00t!

  • Public Good morning, everyone! Another day getting started over here, noticing how activity here in Pownce seems to have quieted down a bit. Did people go back again to Twitter? Hummm, I wonder.

  • Public Just finished doing some external blogging on the IBM Collaboration 2.0 conference I will be attending next week, since a few folks have been asking me for more details. Here is a quick overview of some of the subjects covered.

  • Public Googling around and see what I can find on easiest way to clean my notebook's keyboard without damaging. Proving to be much more complex than originally thought.

  • Public Still enjoying Pownce quite a bit, although I was expecting a bit more of speed when providing some more functionality, specially from some of the stuff we have been asking for all over the place. Doesn't feel like it is innovating fast enough for a Web 2.0 app.

  • Public Good morning, everyone! Getting started with another day, which promises to be very very quiet. Happy 4th of July for those of you who celebrate it!

  • Public Way cool! Thanks to Tris Hussey (http://tinyurl.com/28vcrq) I have found out that Pownce does have a feed, although just for the public line. Good start, but why not a feed for all msgs. so that we can get rid the e-mail notifications. Thoughts?

  • Public Oh, and if you didn't have enough, check out this other link with a comparison of 6 different micro-blogging tools available out there. Includes Pownce and Twitter, btw.

  • Public For those folks out there who would want to compare pears with apples, here is a link for you that compares Twitter and Pownce. Good read! Although, like I said before, I am not sure it is a relevant comparison.
