I don't own either,but i here the PS3 will play the blu-ray discs which i guess has won the format wars.

I own both a PS3 (the fully backwards compatible 60gig version) and two Xbox360's (A premium, and an elite) and the Xbox360 shits all over the PS3. The ps3 has a web browser, and folding at home etc but they are nothing more than novelties that quickly become boring. PS3 does have built in Blu-Ray player, but I can't see any reason as to why MS won't release a Blu Ray addon for the Xbox360 once HD-DVD breaths it's last breath.

Games wise, PS3's so called killer exclusives haven't wowed me anywhere near as much as they seemed to wow the critics. Most just seem dull and boring, with several have graphics and AI etc that you'd think would be more at home on the PS2. Also, compared to Xbox live (I know it's a pay service) PSN is dog shit. It's difficult to use in comparison. You can't join friends games, and talk with friends etc with the incredible ease of the Xbox 360. And any dual format game I just get it on the Xbox 360. The Graphics are always as good as the PS3 versions, plus combined with the better online service and the greatest invention EVER (GAMERPOINTS) there really is no comparison.

To be honest, I'm glad I have both... but if I had to chose just one, I'd go for the Xbox360 without hesitation.

PS: The PS3 really is good at collecting dust, I hardly use mine (And dust is drawn to it like it's some kind of magic dust magnet) unless I'm watching blu-ray movies which I warrant by having a stupidly large 1080p tv blah.

I own 5 Xbox 360s. go with that :)
I actually got a PS3 and sold it. There is no Halo 3, so there is no reason to play it in my opinion.

360. Better online play, friend's connectivity, and selection og games.

Wii FTW - ps3 is useless now that the models they sell now (what i heard) doesn't have back-wards compatibility; and if it is still there it's crappy. i'm not bound to upgrade my ps2 to a ps3 - had since 2002 and running superb. like i said though, Wii FTW ^_^ (i have an xbox... hate ms)

According to what I understood here ^^ I should go for the 360.
