My son won an award at school for bring an excellent student, and so they gave him two free tickets to a Houston Rockets game. It's probably nosebleed, but still, that's pretty cool for the Rockets to do that for I'm sure a lot of schools, and my son is glowing with how proud of himself he is. It was a cool moment last night for him to say "Dad, I won two tickets to a Rockets game and I'm choosing you to come with me!" Of course we're going to buy a couple more tickets so we all can go, but still that was nice to hear him wanting me to go with. We've lived here in Houston for close to three years now, and I haven't seen a game in person yet. I'm not a big fan of the Rockets, so I wanted to catch a game when my favorite team, the Orlando Magic, came though, but we haven't been able to do so yet. Either way, i love sports, so I'm pumped. We also got some Houston Rodeo tickets free through my work. I am in NO WAY a rodeo/cowboy type of person, but my wife and kids have wanted to go to this every year as well, so I figured what the heck. We're heading there this Thursday, then the game on Monday.

    Awesome! :)

I'd much rather go to a rodeo, but anything free (except maybe WNBA) is great!

I don't see the "fun" in trying to stay on a horse for eight seconds. At least with a bball game you have the chance to see some amazing dunks. :)
