Pownce is different than twitter in that you can directly send files to people and separate people into groups. You can send links that track views and all replies are threaded with the initial post. Makes it MUCH easier to follow. Also, I can see replies from ANYONE .. not just people that I'm following - makes it easier to meet new people. Plus.. they don't limit you to 140 characters. :)
