It depends on what they did to make them an "ex." If it's obvious that they'll do it again, hell no. Otherwise, give it a second chance. It may work out.

Well being happily married, I would answer that question with a "no."
Being realistic, should something happen and I find myself as a single father, well then the answer becomes; "maybe."
I always think of the movie "A Bronx Tale." You only get three great loves of you life, and you have to make sure you hold on to at least one of them, to be happy.
That being said, I would only get back with an ex if she was #1 or #2 on the list. It would have to be someone that significant to warrant going backwards instead of forward.

Every so often I will bump in to one some where (usually Starbucks) and we'll start talking and I'll think to my self...
"Man; she's so smart, funny, and beautiful; how did I ever let this one get away?"
About that time she'll do (or say some thing) and I remember that; she didn't "get away" I ran like hell...
So, probably not.
