All I can say is wow! Given the number of Iphones sold that means they chopped down a small forest for the first months bill. Were you scared that a bill was in the box? Like maybe 300 pages meant you were gonna owe an extreme amount? I wouldn't have opened it, maybe just stare at it for a while.

Madness. Someone should point out AT&T for every environmental group out there.

Since the activation happens over the internet - with iTunes - shouldn't the default be e-bill? Crap like this scares me, because it becomes painfully obvious that AT&T isn't a very *bright* company. It probably costs them millions to print and send those bills out - when in essence this doesn't need to happen - and because of these types of careless corporate mistakes, the consumers end up with higher fees, Make the default e-bill, upgrade your edge network - or something useful!

Gonna give you something so you know what's on our mind
A gift real special, so take off the top
    Take a look inside -- it's your AT&T bill - in a box. : P

thank you AT&T for killing the environment! like common, cant large corporations like that take some responsibility and use less paper and why are they giving stupid information like that. i pray that then the iPhone comes to Canada that Rogers will have the sense to use ebilling or some way to reduce the amount of paper!

    That's sooo eco-friendly.

If every iPhone user has a bill like that, we can say goodbye to the entire tropical forest (or what it left of it). Well, maybe I'm too pernickety, but who needs trees anyway?.

    thanks! AT&T. lol

Yikes. Does it mean that the iPhone is a *phone* (typical AT&T bill nightmare) and not that *kewl new web device*? Makes one wonder...

Sign up for E-bill. AT&T really pushes electronic billing since it saves them so much money.

Whats sad is AT&T KNOWS you have internet access. (Duh!) So why not provide a link in a smaller (2 page) bill that says that the detailed billing cannot be printed due to National Forest Preservation requirements, so check it out online.

Maybe this this is just an indication of an ATB (Abnormal Texting Behaviors)???? Just a thought. Maybe we should focus our efforts on support groups?

Just spoke with AT&T and their customer service said that they discontinued the policy of sending out paper bills (As of Aug 4 or Sept 4th - he wasn't exactly sure) that have transactions. In the future if you wish to receive these transactions in paper form an additional cost of 1.99 per line - per moth will be added.

That's just stupid. You'd think a company like at&t would have the common sense to consolidate all that crap into 1 or 2 sheets, but no, you'd be wrong.

Well, some people like to hold their debt in their hands. Something about that tactile sensation that just gives you that warm "holy shit, I spent too much" feeling. Besides, we still need some reason to keep killing trees, no?

Progress, intelligently planned! One Green Partner deserves Another? Ass over Apple Cart? I don't know what to say other than, I'm glad I didn't buy and iPhone!? Justine, I'm happy to see you had the forethought to use the iPhone tune in your video. I just hope you didn't go to un know where and pay .99 cents for it, or do they add that to your iPhone bill....?

Why not put the AT&T Account and EBill access right into iTunes - don't even offer paper. (Bet the USMail service wouldn't be 2 keen on Apple/AT&T.)

    Great video btw.
