After watching my mailbox flood with all sorts of useless notifications, I was on the verge of having all of you whacked in the worst possibly way. Then, I was told about the settings menu and turned all of them off. Thanks to BucketJen for the tip., and y'all should thank her for saving your lives.

    I turned off my notifications, but still see the emails coming in after 2 days. I just set my gmail prefs to forward them into the archive or delete them, depending on the type of notification.

    Well, the goons who were going to do the whacking have already charged my credit card and have a NO REFUNDS policy. They do allow exchanges, though, so let's just say that if various pieces of the St. Louis Cardinals (except for Russ Springer) turn up in some cornfield for no apparent reason, YOU KNOW NOTHING.
