Why haven't people been talking about Unity more? Applications like this really need to time spent on them for the mac. The Mac would so easily thrive with things like this. We've already got the best media computer in the world. Why not add Video Games as one of those forms of media? Why not let people create games as well as slideshows, dvds, movies, and music? Think about it.

I think you're partly right and partly wrong. You can already create games on OS X using open source toolkits. Blender would be one part of a games developer's toolkit that has progressed quite far. If you're thinking about seeing a games kit in iLife, I think you'll be waiting a long time. The essence of iLife is that it's *my media*. It's a picture of my aunt, video of my uncle, etc. GarageBand would be the odd one out in the ensemble. But I'm sure you'll admit that games development is an order of magnitude more complex from the point of view of the average Mac user than is making music or recording podcasts. If you want to let users create interactive content, something like Dashcode is way more promising.
