Turns out those server problems I've been having (it was down again for a bit today) have been related to a network configuration issue on their end, verified by finally talking to someone on the phone tonight who knew what they were doing.
Hopefully that will be the end of it. It was kind of frustrating to not be able to do anything to fix it, but the flip side is that it's at least nice to know that it wasn't something I had messed up.

That's actually the main reason I left; not knowing what the hell was going on. Luckily you're patient enough and found out the problem before leaving.

Yeah, I think for now I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt since this is the only issue I've ever had with them for as long as I've been using them, and it was related to a server upgrade where they had to move my VM to a new box, which isn't going to be a recurring issue.
I was playing with the idea of taking the plunge and going for a dedicated plan, but I don't think I need to do that just yet.
