I was getting distracted driving down the 405 and watching the GPS tracking dot on Google Maps update in real time. At the default zoom level, it's basically like a 1 or 2 fps animation of me driving down the freeway.

Add in the extreme usefullness of the color coded traffic indicators on the freeways, and this is an indispensable app for people who live in LA.
