Public Linux install tip: always get the "minimal" or "network" CD image. It does take longer to install and requires a network connection, but the CD never goes "stale", and you also don't need to download updates right after installing. Plus you can put them on those cool tiny CDs.

Public So disgusted with politics....
Just finished listening to Obama (re)explain his position on the Rezko house issue as well as the pastor thing. He did a perfectly fine job, and it's pretty admirable considering if it were me I'd be going off on the press for what they've become in this political system.
It infuriates me to see reporters trying to make "news" out of total ...

Public Lessons learned so far on Twitter:
1. Don't follow Gillmor - way too many out of context conversation posts that don't make any sense unless you're seeing the whole thing.
2. Twitterfeed (people auto-posting content from other sources like blogs into Twitter) is exceedingly annoying.Mar 21st Reply! Forward

It's not just that I disagree with him (although I do), but he makes such a big deal about it on virtually every show, while at the same time being a big fan of Facebook, who have done far worse stuff recently.Feb 14th Reply! Forward

Public Turns out those server problems I've been having (it was down again for a bit today) have been related to a network configuration issue on their end, verified by finally talking to someone on the phone tonight who knew what they were doing.
Hopefully that will be the end of it. It was kind of frustrating to not be able to do anything to fix it, but the flip ...

Public In response to the Facebook status "conversation" between Nathan and Jason...
If I understand correctly, I think the idea is that there is a certain group of people who will always attack Clinton, and most of that same group would probably move to oppose Obama as well, when/if he gets the nomination.
The mitigating factor there, though, is that I think Obama is a much harder candidate to attack ...
