Hurray! First day with insects!!
Here is a my first fly macro shot this year... it's only of a common housefly, but it is a sign of spring :D
It's incredible that only a few hours of warmth can bring the insects out of hibernation.

I've found flys in this state from time to time, usually in the garage or a three-season porch, where the angle of the sun has finally started to reach a window that was in the shadows all winter. They're sluggish for quite awhile until their temperature warms up.

Just outta curiosity Thomas, you wouldn't happen to be an entomologist, would you? You really seem to know your way around the insect world. Certainly more than the average person. Great shot by the way. ;)
