17" HP pavillion zv5000. I will never trade up for another, it took forever to get it just where I like it.

I don't use a laptop as a main machine, so I don't need a ton of power. Just the basics. My old trusty P4 Thinkpad T30 get's the job done. It's old but does what I need. I think my next laptop will be a Macbook once the Stinkpad dies.

I'm running a 17" HP dv9000. Not very convenient to carry around all the time but a joy to work on.

I have a black macbook. Quite happy with it. A number of my friends use Thinkpads and swear by it.

My main computer is a PowerBook G4, ca. 2004. I also have a Compaq Presario 1200, running Windows XP Professional and Ubuntu 8.04, that I use mostly for testing in IE. It’s 8 freaking years old and still running strong (except that the battery is dead.)

The other night I dreamed that Steve Jobs ridiculed me for still using a PowerBook, so it might be time to upgrade to a MacBook Pro or something…

I use a ThinkPad Z61t and have been very happy with it. IBM includes some really good support software and their tech support has been excellent, too.

Dell Inspiron E1505... shipped from Dell loaded with Ubuntu! :) It is a rock solid platform for my development work. I have been nothing but happy with it for almost a year.

I own a 17" Powerbook. I love my Mac. This year I do want to get a Macbook Pro though.

at work though, I'm forced to use an IBM Stinkpad. It's ok, but sitting on Windoze all day isn't my favorite thing in the world. ;)

15" Macbook Pro 2.6Ghz Core2, 4GB RAM, 200Gb 7200rpm HD. This bad boy screams whether in Windoze or OS X

acer aspire 3680. no complaints for 400 bucks. just dump vista and install ubuntu and you're good. A memory upgrade is definitely in the near future though. 512MB doesnt cut it no matter what OS you are using these days.

black macbook with parallels for my work stuff ... and an xp desktop with a quad core ... only because i got it for cheap from intel ... depending on what you do ... want to do ... it'd be hard to recommend without knowing ... i love my mac but if you're mostly pc i would say either an xp thinkpad or xp dell ... they're a little harder to find brand new but IMO a better product than vista ...
