Any podcasters or video experts amongst us? I'm creating some swf video files, anyone know what file size I should aim for if it's a 30 second clip? I'm rubbish at video stuff, always have been, always will be :(

Hmmmmm. Length is just 30 secs, 768×576 pixels (4:3 display aspect), broadband high quality.

Video file size is the direct result of length and bitrate. The only thing you need to worry about is making sure you are targeting the right bandwidth as these files are played as they are downloaded, and if the file's rate is too high, playback will always catch up to the buffering point and you'll get an awful playback experience.

Encode to a bitrate that works for your users' bandwidth and all you'll need to do is review and tweak quality settings to get the look you want from the compressed clip.

Noah, thanks for a clear, simple to understand description.
