well I am as long on twitter as on pownce but twitter got the advantage (for me) that it runs on jabber. That makes it so easy to post and read with the twitter@twitter account. The reply is a great option here..

They can't have done. I'm still inundated with friend requests from people who I'm not sure who they are :)
For me, Pownce and Twitter serve completely different needs.
