Historians are proclaiming W the worst President ever? I can remember an amazingly similar opinion of Ronald Reagan when he was leaving office although things have changed since then http://tinyurl.com/ojxfk. Leaving aside the biases of most of these "historians," if they were credible, they might actually wait for some perspective before pronouncing judgements.

    Bush II is not the WORST.

    We have had more bad presidents than good ones. But he is not the worst. I would say Andrew Johnson was the worst as he was actually removed from office with no pardon.

    Nixon would be next as he was removed but pardoned.

    I would have to say the top ten stinkers would be:

    Johnson
    Nixon
    Hoover
    Harding
    Grant
    George W. Bush
    William Henry Harrison
    Buchanan
    Coolidge
    Wilson & George Bush Sr. (tie)

    I would rate Reagan at 11 for sure as he did not actually run the government and had no balls (like Truman or Tyler) to stand up for the office.
