It's dangerous I think. Separating only between status reports and microblogging makes it far to easy to cross-post. Since more people have started using it I've seen a lot of Tweets and other cross-posts in my Pownce Stream.

Tweets in particular are often out of context here, esp. if the poster doesn't follow them in each place they are posted. Also there are a few people I follow on several networks. It's odd to see the same thing in 5 different places. You just don't know where to reply or if the person will see it.
