Public So, that computer I was supposed to "fix"? The main thing that was wrong with it was that Windows had to be activated via telephone. Of course, it's also so slow that IE won't even fully load, and it took a full 15 minutes for the comp to shut down.

Public I'm supposed to try to fix someone's computer this evening. According to the phone call I got, either Internet Explorer is missing, or Windows is missing, or nothing happens when the computer is started up.

Public Today's all about maintenance. I upgraded Firefox, yesterday, and installed (then uninstalled) StarDock's MyColors. The latter did no damage, but it doesn't clean up especially well, either. Little things, like my cursor settings, appearance settings, and filetype icon settings were lost in the shuffle.
