Which one is better, Pandora or Last.fm?

Pandora has been much better about figuring out new artists that I would like. Last.fm has a separate client that is convenient, but more often than not I get songs I really dislike. Thoughts?

Last.fm has a lot more feedback and options. I do like to just let Pandora run however.

last fm, it doesn't get really good until you give it a ton of info. Scrobble everything for a few month or more and you'll love it.

weird I just signed up for pandora today. So far it isn't giving me the variety that last.fm does but I'm gonna give it some time because it is playing different artists. I haven't noticed any independent artists on it yet which has me a little worried.

Pandora has been my mainstay since it first came out.

Pandora has Pandora's Box for Windows and Pandora Boy for OS X. Both are great desktop apps.

Pandora is the best so far. Finetune is a nice interface but limited selection. Last.fm just doesn't thrill me for some reason.

Pandora would be awesome IF they had the money behind it to get more hands on the project and to clear up their terrible tracklistings.

I think they use Grace which is now Sony/BMG and we know how that works. They would be better using the open source Discog as they have rabid fans updating their album art, tracks and information.

I used Pandora when it was in beta.. Never used it again. I don't really see a need for a last.fm anymore because it's never really been useful. Pandora seems a bit more useful. Last.fm is better for be because i've grown used to it.

http://Songza.com it's no god for finding new artists, but it is still a slick site and you make playlists as you go, good for play DJ for yourself. Worth checking out : http://Songza.com

Pandora started well for me, but after an hour of listening/rating the suggestions it came up with were downright bizarre given my tastes. Last.fm's the winner for me.

Pandora 'cause it's not blocked at work... otherwise, my mp3s/iPod. I just use last.fm for scrobbling.

I loved Pandora until I tried using it the other day and found out you can only use it in the USA now :-(

Yep Pandora sucks for those outside of the UK. I liked it when I could use it though. So it's Last.fm all the way.
