I've been stripping down my Facebook profile to the bare essentials. No more Scrabulous, no more silly questions. Just the bare bones - RSS feed, Groups, my publications in the scientific literature, my wall, oh and maybe Scrabulous if I cannot resist.........

I just had a quick squint and posted on your Wall.

    Very neat. Nice...

My long overdue spring clean was triggered by a "slight paranoia" item discussing how all these FB apps have access to almost all your FB information and I figured, do I really want the developers of Scrabulous knowing what my FB friends are chatting about?

I've done the same recently with my Facebook page. I had a load of crap up there such as Zombies and other supposedly 'fun' applications, and just got bored with them. Plus, in all honesty, they're a bit pointless to say the least. Now I've just got the things of interest and use to me, such as the Techcrunch, Digg, Pownce, etc. apps. Oh, and of course Scrabulous.
