  • Public Me and the kids spent the afternoon at the
    Northwest Michigan Fair. It was kids day (discount on rides) and the weather was perfect: sunny, 75, and low humidity.
    We had such a good time we didn't even mind the crowds.
    My daughter enjoyed the horses getting ready for judging.
    My youngest son loves the rabbits, but that figures since he is a "Wallace and grommet" fan

  • Public You gotta love free DVD rentals from the public library.
    Watched a funny movie tonight with the kids that we have not seen in a while and it was good to hear them laugh and not spoil the punch lines for each other.

  • Public We have the most amazing vegetable garden this summer.
    We have been composting for some time and have used some of this rich soil in this years garden.
    We have yellow squash, watermelons, and pumpkins growing from this composted soil that we did not plant from seed.
    Life is often very unexpected but cool.

    Now I can carry three kayak's on one vehicle.

    Main battery problems, no ignition on the first launch attempt.
    Had to run to the store and pickup another one.
    The launch site was a little windier than we prefer, but the clear blue skis were perfect.
    The second launch attempt was successful----Yea
    But----the wind took our rocket off course.
    We estimate that the rocket got up over a thousand feet and we were able ...

  • Public Just finished helping my oldest son build an Estes Rocket.
    Tomorrow's weather forecast calls for clear skies and light winds. We plan to be up and out early to our launch site.
    Blasting model rockets with the kids is so much fun.
