  • Public Anyone else think this gmail advertisement is a bit sketchy and should be removed? It claims to be a NZ government site, but leads you to a .info site instead..

Seems too phishy to be a gmail link in my opinion.

  • Public Maybe I'm just a terrible person, but I just won an extended debate the other day on a forum about the Zune music store, id3 tags, and pirated music -- and the win gave me this really awesome feeling of power.

In your opinion, does that make me sadistic or cruel or something?

  • Public Started using the Zune Social yesterday, and gotta say that the media player is beautiful.

The social network portion definitely needs some polishing, but I think I'm going to stay relatively active and see where it goes.

Anyone else on there? Add me!

  • Public Just got back online - I have been completely unplugged since Friday afternoon while playing in an ultimate frisbee tournament, which was awesome.

Whats up? How was your weekend & is there any big news?

  • Public What can $611 billion buy?

The Bush administration is asking for more funding which would raise the war cost to $611 billion. The Boston Globe made a short but to the point list of other things that money could be used for.

Definitely recommend checking it out if you have a second.

  • Public Just played a demo for Crysis at a gaming cafe in town (my excuse was the power outage at my house), and holy crap!! That game is AMAZING.

Too bad that there is no way my computer will be able to run it when it comes out, but i guess it's just one more thing pushing me to get a new one..

  • Public 4 hours of sleep + 4 competition games of ultimate frisbee + 4 hours of work + 0 hours of real down time = a very sore & very tired zach.

Waking up to do it all over again the very next day? A strangely excited zach.

  • Public Did anyone else recently see an interview with Jay Adelson on (I think) the Wall Street Journal's website? Could have been on any other news website though..

I have found a couple of interviews, but I'm looking for one that has a video clip including [specifically!] him talking about his Blackberry versus Kevin's iPhone...

I've had zero luck in tracking it down, even though it was ...

  • Public Awesome: posted a missed connection because I thought I saw a girl at a cafe today that I got along with really well with from a math class 3 semesters ago.

About an hour goes by, and I get a response asking what color hair & what were they wearing -- I had thrown in some *big* pointers about how we knew one another & discussions we had had, so i was surprised ...

  • Public Did you miss that connection?

So i was talking with a friend the other day when out of the blue she mentioned that she frequently browses the "Missed Connections" portion of the local craigslist. I thought this was hilarious, because i have been quietly convinced that i'm just some weirdo who finds them to be really funny sometimes -- and I'll admit, i would love to find someone talking ...

  • Public Just saw the movie of Krakauer's book "Into the Wild" -- awesome. Go check it out if you have the chance, it's well worth your time. It has a bit of Hollywood-ifying to it, but not too much.

And what made it even better for me? I saw it on my first date with a girl in a LONG time :-D

  • Public A question for any and all web developers out there:

In order of importance, what are the top 5 things you think I should learn if web development is what interests me? Photoshop, Ruby, C++, etc? Cheers!
