One of my best/worst traits is that I am very passive-aggressive. I almost always let people have their way because I really don't care to be confrontational. Although I come across to some people as amiable, others view this as a weakness. Perhaps in certain situations, it is best to be upfront.

Like last week, we were working on a group project and this girl and I had a fight. She was shouting at me and I was trying to be rational and calm, and tried to explain things but she wouldn't quit. I snapped and told her that I won't put up with her bitching anymore. Surprisingly, she shut up, listened to what I had to say, and we got on with the work pretty well after that.

How about you? Any passive-aggressive people out there?

    that's what you're describing - isn't it? --- I'm currently lookin' for a nice german word which would describe the same thing; but it's hard to find one :)

    @steve: if your a client, yes i am too, to everybody else? i snap, bitch and verbally knock them out.

    Likewise depends on the situation.. if it doesn't matter or isn't too important to me i'll likely be pretty passive, but most people know that i'm no 'pushover' and that i'm certainly not completely stupid anyway. In situations that do need confrontation I often seem to come across as fairly aggressive, largely down to the fact that I hate it when people just aren't listening to what I'm saying!
