IMAX has inked a deal with AMC theaters to install 100 digital IMAX screens over the next three years. The screens will be installed in the company’s top-performing theaters in 33 top U.S. markets. The first 50 screens will be installed next year, 25 more in 2009, and 29 more in 2010.

    My wife manages a 10 screen movie theater that just got completely converted over to the new digital. While it's not IMAX, it's a huge step up from the traditional 35mm. They have one 3D screen that they're showing Beowulf on. It looks really amazing. I'm sure IMAX on digitial is even more so, to say the least!
