Great co-working concept in Boston - Betahouse. For $400 per month you get a desk, WiFi and pretty much all the snacks you need. Great for new start-ups. I saw this on the GigaOm blog and lets hope the concept spreads to other cities (London, for example, would be cool).

    Other than the provision of food & drink, I'm not sure how this differs from the business incubator initiatives that have been around in Yorkshire for years.

    They even provide PA services, business support, mentoring, et cetera.

    And if you qualify, you can pull down funding from the European Union...

    Yeah, I guess you are right in that this is nothing new. It just seemed like a good price point combined with a mix of social elements that would incourage networking and collaboration. There is not a chance in hell that it would be $400 per month in London, though!

    I've always loved the coworking concept and am glad to see it spreading. I would love to see one near me where I can spend most of the day with my MBP.. like starbucks, but a more work conducive environment.
